Lithium ion battery

Copied from https://www.nobelprize.orgIf you see the The Nobel prize in chemistry 2019, you will find it as lithium ion battery. This is a rechargeable battery. Now a days, if you will open your mobile/laptop or other electric devices, you will find a battery inside it which is light weight and can store more energy. Since, it is light weight, so it is very easy to use in electric vehicles. Lithium is s-block element of periodic table. As s-block elements have one free electron which help lithium in conductivity. Another thing is, lithium is the lightest element of periodic table in solid form which can be understood as the light weight of lithium. Scientists were testing lithium batteries in 1976 because they wanted some solution of the hikes in patrol prices. Since, it was interesting at the time when it exploded and fire-brigade had to put out a number of fires and finally threatened to make the laboratory pay for the special chemicals used to extinguish lithium fires.

Few details about nobel prize are given below:

  1. Here is a bit of info about Lithium ion battery I've got from a ghost writer article hope it is easy to understand for eveyone, A lithium ion battery is a secondary battery system in which two different lithium intercalation compounds are used as positive and negative electrodes of the battery, respectively; capable of reversibly inserting and extracting lithium ions.
