URATPG = University of Rajasthan Admission Test for Post Graduate courses.

It is entrance test for taking admission in post graduation courses at University of Rajasthan. If you will see the prospectus of University of Rajasthan, you will find the details of all courses from page number 18 to 32. Few departments conduct exams and few have admission policies that they will take students on the examination taken by other departments and few department have mixed culture.

Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are the departments for which number of students appearing in exam are more then 2000 and positions respectively are 35, 50 and 90. So, candidates per seat ratio is highest in physics. Since students appear in physics exam to take admission in other subjects like MCA, MSc IT and CENCER, but those will not fulfil the conditions of a student who is interested in physics. Since, above other three departments are very costly for a student who is not coming from reach background.

I have seen in last few years that there are few students who are able to get in IIT's for MSc but not able to get in at University of Rajasthan in physics department. If you will go to anywhere in India, you will find a name of Department of Physics, University of Rajasthan.

How to apply and get in for URATPG 2019:

• Full details about URATPG 2019 can be found at http://www.uniraj.ac.in/index.php?mid=192&exid=10 (as of 31 May 2019)
• You have to fill form starting from 1 June 2019 to 10 June 2019. To apply link will be updated on above website which will be like : http://univraj.org/UoRAdm19
• First you have to pay fee using ICICI gateway. You will get a link on website where you have to click and fill minimal details about you. You need Credit card or debit card or internet banking for paying fee. Get a pdf file of this print before doing anything else. It will be useful for future reference.
• Using above details, student have to fill form on the same website. In that he/she has to fill their marks of 10th, 12th, Bachelors, details about themselves, like there mobile number, parents name, address and photo identity card. Other then that, there will be a requirement of passport size photo and signature. You can get your signature and photo using your mobile.
• After filling up the form, create a pdf file and save it in your mobile or email. You don't have to submit any hard copy.
• On 12 June 2019, you will be able to generate your permission letter. In mean time, examination time table for different subjects will be updated on website.
• After exam, 2nd phase will come in picture. If you get good marks and think that you will get admission, you should apply for 2nd phase. Before applying in 2nd phase, please read the details in prospectus (pdf file of 134 pages can be found on university website) carefully.
